Self Care: Detox Bath Recipe

Self Care is so important to your well being!

 

I want to remind you that it is not only ok, but imperative that you take care of you. It is impossible to pour from an empty cup. If you plan to give your all to your kids, family, cooking, home and all the other necessities of the season you need to make sure your needs are met first.

 

Take a few minutes this evening to take a nice long detox soak in the bathtub to clear your mind and body. 

 

To create a detox bath that will have you feeling great, mix equal parts Sea or Pink Himalayan Salt, Baking Soda, Epsom Salt and Apple Cider Vinegar to hot bath water and soak in as much peace and quiet as you are able to find in your home! 

 

Feel free to add in your favorite therapeutic grade essential oils to enhance the experience!

 

I know it is natural to put oils in the water while the hot water is running, but WAIT! The hot running water causes the aromas to escape the bathwater and scent the bathroom instead. To get the most from the aromatherapies, fill the tub and turn off the water first before adding oils.

 

Make sure to drink filtered water during or immediately following your bath to assist in the flushing of your system!
